Andy Bell and Nicholas Littlefair set up AJ Bell back in 1995. What started out as a small actuarial consultancy grew fast, and the rapidly diversifying company soon realised there was demand for a bespoke SIPP and SSAS provider. AJ Bell Platinum was launched to meet that need.
Today, AJ Bell is a highly profitable public limited company, looking after £76.2 billion of assets on behalf of 484,000 customers. Clearly a lot has changed since the early days, but AJ Bell Platinum remains a core part of the AJ Bell group, with over 860 bespoke SSAS pensions schemes currently on its books.
